Northam can be found about 1.5 hours North East of Perth. The best way to travel to this town is along the Great Eastern Highway.
Northam is part of the Wheatbelt and the Avon Valley. There are many features of Northam that take you back a few years, one which is the Suspension Bridge.
From first sight, one would think the bridge was like any other bridge. However take a few pace across it and you can feel the movement from other travelers on the other side. It reminds me of being an a very firm trampoline.
The view from the bridge is priceless. I was lucky to have a picture perfect river. A seagull seemed to be entertained at having us around and continuously flew into a picture as a well paid actor.
There are talks that the council will be upgrading this bridge and area so if you do find yourself in these neck of the woods then this little bridge would probably be your best stop! Enjoy! 😉
